Fasts and Prayers of an Oft-traveler
I am a university student. I travel about an hour and a half every day to get to school. Are my prayers reduced? Can I fast in the month of Ramadhan?
If you travel farther than 22.5 Kilometers out of the city everyday or once every10 days, then you are considered as an oft-traveler (one who travels frequently; Katheer-ul-Safar); so your fasts and prayers should be performed completely, and if you travel a shorter distance, then your prayers will be complete and your fasts will be valid.
